202 stainless steel strip is one of the 200 series stainless steel strip , and China standard grade is 1Cr18Mn8Ni5N.The 202 grade stainless steel strip is the low nickel and high manganese stainless steel material.The manganese content is around 8%, and it is also a nickel-saving stainless steel.But 202 stainless steel strip has higher nickel content (4%-6%) compared with 201 stainless steel strip .

Applications

This grade is used for applications requiring good mechanical properties and involving corrosive conditions that are not too severe, such as valve parts, cutlery, food industry machine parts, screws, bolts, pump rods and pistons, etc. In the annealed condition, it may be drawn or formed. In the aircraft industry, Type 410 is used for parts such as compressor shrouds, where oxidation resistance is required up to 1000°F. Useful at high temperatures only when stresses are low.
