Steel sheet pile is a type of steel with a locking slot. Its cross section has straight plate shape, groove shape and Z shape. It has various sizes and interlocking forms. Common ones are Larsonian, Lakwana, etc. Its advantages are: high strength, easy to penetrate into the hard soil layer; can be constructed in deep water, if necessary, add inclined support to become a cage. Specifications:

Steel sheet pile products are divided into cold-bent thin-walled steel sheet piles and hot-rolled steel sheet piles according to the production process.

(1) Cold-formed steel sheet piles include non-bite-shaped cold-formed steel sheet piles (also known as trench plates) and bite-shaped cold-formed steel sheet piles (divided into L-shaped, S-shaped, U-shaped and Z-shaped) . Production process: Use thinner plates (common thickness 8mm ~ 14mm) in the cold bending unit for continuous roll forming. Advantages: less investment in production line, lower production cost, flexible product size control. Disadvantages: The thickness of each part of the pile body is the same, the cross-sectional size cannot be optimized, resulting in increased steel consumption, the shape of the locking part is difficult to control, the joint is not tightly fastened, and the water cannot be stopped.

(2) Hot-rolled steel sheet piles Hot-rolled steel sheet piles in the world mainly have U-type, Z-type, AS-type, H-type and other major categories of dozens of specifications. The production, processing and installation processes of Z-type and AS-type steel sheet piles are relatively complicated, and they are mainly used in Europe and America; domestically, they are mainly U-shaped steel sheet piles. Production process: It is formed by a high-speed rolling by a steel rolling mill. Advantages: dimensional specifications, superior performance, reasonable cross-section, high quality, and tight water barrier for the bite. Disadvantages: greater technical difficulty, higher production costs, and inflexible specification series.
